SUNSOAKED originated from the desire of our designer and founder, Kate Davis Steer, to enjoy her outdoor lifestyle by minimising the concern of sun damage, in sun conscious swim that was luxurious yet practical without compromising on style.
An innovator whose driving force is for women of all ages and sizes to feel protected and chic, Kate’s first priority was to redesign the traditionally masculine rash vest. SUNSOAKED’s first collection of swim tops dropped in 2012 to an overwhelmingly positive response.
In 2015, Kate designed the labels now iconic, Ruffle Sleeve One Piece. The first of it’s kind anywhere in the world, SUNSOAKED’s first zip up one piece was not made of neoprene like surf suits but instead crafted from lycra with a more feminine aesthetic.
Customer led and focussed, SUNSOAKED, has evolved to include overswim and resort styles that complement our swim, in all sustainable and natural fibres.
“I am passionate about sun safety and love that SUNSOAKED has been instrumental in starting the movement towards changing people’s perception of what sun safety looks like.”
